NCAC Objects to HB 103

The National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC) recently sent a letter to the New Hampshire House of Representatives Committee on Education stating their opposition to HB 103, which would require schools to provide two weeks’ advance parental notification prior to the use of any sex ed materials.

Sex Ed Still Not Required in the UK

Members of Parliament recently voted against introducing legislation that would make sex ed compulsory in schools. This despite reports that large percentages of teen girls reported unwanted touching at school, and sexual violence.

Approval Granted for Use of Supplemental Sex Ed Materials in Fairbanks, Alaska

The Fairbanks North Star Borough Board of Education has approved plannedparenthood.org, loveisrespect.org, and tolerance.org as appropriate for use in high school sex ed classes. The sites had been previously rejected for use in class, but were reinstated after questions arose as to why they were rejected.
